It's great to see the conversion of this former stables to a family dwelling now complete, on a farm just outside St Ives. The black timber cladding and grey standing seam aluminium roof gives the building a cool, understated appearance that sits comfortably in the countryside setting, while retaining the agricultural character of the original building.

I am so pleased to see how well this new Front Porch Canopy has turned out on this contemporary dwelling that I designed around 5 years ago.

The combination of colour-coated aluminium - colour-matched to the existing doors, windows and capping trim - with variable width, Western Red Cedar cladding has added texture and depth to the otherwise clean and simple, front elevation.

It's been so nice seeing the timber frame of this

It's been so nice seeing the timber frame of this new build dwelling go up in recent weeks. It never ceases to amaze me what a difference it makes to have stunning seaviews framed by the window and door openings. So much so, in this case, that our client shed a tear when she first stood in the timber frame and looked at the views!

It's been great working with @_neil_rogers_
for the first time on this project, and as always, Tom @rbqsltd is keeping costs under close control!
