Here are some photos of a past project in St Ives, which was completed in 202. We raised the roof by around 1.5m to create two storeys of accommodation while retaining a bungalow-style to satisfy Planning. The monochrome colour scheme and cantilevered box dormer create a contemporary appearance within the bungalow form. This new build dwelling in Ludgvan is close to completion and looking lovely, although the main feature is the light and stunning views. From its elevated position, the house enjoys spectacular views over Mount's Bay to the South, St Michael's Mount to the South-East, and beautiful countryside views towards Trencrom to the North.

Nice to see this new build dwelling getting close to completion in the spring sunshine. We have replaced the original 1930s bungalow, which was exactly like the adjacent one to the right, with this 1.5 storey dormer bungalow, which enjoys stunning views across Porthmeor Beach and out towards Clodgy Point. Great news to receive Planning Permission for this project today!! The original 1930s dormer bungalow will have a new 1st floor with 3 new bedrooms and a living room on the 1st floor, turning the property into the forever home for a young, local family. The dwelling will feature timber cladding and a standing seam metal roof, with a new front balcony to make the most of stunning sea views over Porthmeor beach and Clodgy Point.

The original ground floor walls will be externally insulated to bring the whole house up to modern standards of thermal efficiency.
